We have recently purchased a Passport/ID Scanner and software system from Trust ID to improve our already thorough registration procedures.
The scanner is essentially the same as the scanners in Border Control at airports. It scans all the information on Passports, Visas and Driving Licences. It reads the chip inside them, checks the code at the bottom of the photo page (the Machine Readable Zone) and performs infra-red and UV scans.
These checks will immediately warn us that the document has been altered or forged.
Trust ID’s system will ensure that it will be almost impossible for us to employ candidates using false documentation.
